Discrimination Policy

The Living Systems Institute acknowledges that every human being shares a common genetic origin. As such, the concept of different races of humans is false. Further, we do not wish to discriminate against any of our siblings regarding opportunities available through the Institute. Therefore, the Board of Directors of the Living Systems Institute adopts the following non-discrimination policy:

The selection process for any position with the Living Systems Institute, or for participation in any of its projects, shall not consider the applicant's color of skin, national or genetic heritage, age, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, veteran status, political identity nor any characteristic protected under applicable federal or state law. All personnel who are responsible for hiring and promoting employees and for the development and implementation of programs or activities are charged to support this effort and to respond promptly and appropriately to any concerns that are brought to their attention.

The foregoing discrimination policy was adopted by vote of the Board of Directors effective December 21, 2016.  Don Sudinski, Ruth Rinehart, Oz Osborn, Peggy Gates and David Braden vote in favor.  David Olivero, Michael Anderson, James Weiser and Aleece Raw abstain.
